
Dr. Gina Korfiáti was born in Patras and graduated from the 7th High School of Patras in 2008. The same year she entered the Medical School of the University of Patras and completed her medical studies in 2014. Afterwards, she worked as a resident physician at the General Hospital of Aitoloakarnania and the General Hospital of Patras “Agios Andreas.” She then moved to the United Kingdom, where she initially worked as a scientific associate at BMI Northampton and later completed part of her residency in a hand surgery center in Hertfordshire.
In September 2018, she returned to Greece, where she completed her specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Metaxa Cancer Hospital. Alongside her residency, she successfully completed a Master’s Degree in Surgical Sciences at the University of Crete, as well as specialized training in microsurgery at KAT Hospital. She also took part in a six-month training program at Nicosia General Hospital in Plastic Surgery and at the University General Hospital of Patras “Panagia i Voitheia” in Orthopedics. She then worked as a rural doctor at the Health Center of Gastouni and at the Karamandaneio Children’s Hospital.
Finally, she has participated in multiple seminars in emergency medicine, aesthetic medicine, post-cancer reconstruction, and microsurgical reconstruction.
She has a wide range of publications in scientific journals and articles, as well as active participation in international scientific conferences.
