
He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the School of Health Sciences at the Medical Department, with a scholarship from the Larnaca Foundation for Higher Studies and graduated in 2004. In 2006, he began his internship in the Surgical and Internal Medicine Departments of Larnaca General Hospital for one year, and the following year he took over as the coordinator of the Interreg III research program “Epidemiological Surveillance and Control of Hospital Infections” at Larnaca General Hospital. In 2008, he was appointed as a General Practitioner in the Outpatient Clinics of the Old Larnaca Hospital.
In September 2011, he was sent with a scholarship from the Ministry of Health for further training at the Diabetology Center of Laiko Hospital, Medical School of Athens. He subsequently undertook the newly established Diabetes Clinic in the Primary Care Unit of the Old Larnaca Hospital and the responsibility for the European program EuBIROD for monitoring diabetic patients.
His many years of scientific work have been presented at medical conferences in Cyprus and Greece, receiving many positive comments.
In June 2013, he contributed to the creation of the Larnaca Social Clinic.
From the academic year 2014–2015 until today, he has been a trainer of undergraduate students of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Primary Care.
In February 2015, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Larnaca Medical Association and took the position of Secretary, which he continues to serve to this day (for a third consecutive term).
From the start of the pandemic and even before the appearance of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Cyprus, he took on the responsibility of creating a Covid-19 wing at the Eden Resort Rehabilitation Center. For two years, he was the responsible physician for monitoring the positive carriers of the virus hosted there.
All this has always been with the support of his wife Lena and their two children, Vasia and Nefeli, who patiently encourage him every day.
His motto is the words of Kazantzakis: “Love responsibility. Say: I, I alone have the duty to save the Earth. If it is not saved, I am to blame.”
